Haley+ Kaelin

We actually met in 7th grade at a summer music camp in Powell Wyoming. We became friends pretty quickly and stayed good friends, hanging out at that same summer camp until we both aged out of the camp. We kept in touch; texting or calling every few months for a while after and eventually kind of fell out of touch. After highs chool graduation, I received a call from Haley asking about my plans for college, and if I was going to Northwest. I told her I was and we decided to get together and catch up, we met at Starbuck's and she was just so pretty I didn’t really know what to say, so she ordered us two mango drinks (I am allergic to mango) and we happily drank them and laughed together. After a few months of Haley flirting with me and me being oblivious, she finally asked me out, we started dating October 23rd of 2021 and four years later I got to put my plan into motion to propose. I bought my ring in early March, and recruited a family friend and photographer to help us set up “family photos” and my family and friends of ours helped me plan an after party as well. The day comes for our photos and I am doing everything in my power not to look nervous, we get to a beautiful place in rotary park in Casper, Wyoming and take a few test pictures. My friend slips me the ring while Haley is posing for more photos, she turns around to find me on one knee and curses in excitement. She said yes and ever since then I have been walking on air. 

We recently adopted a cat and I cannot begin to imagine a more perfect life. Now all that’s left is to get married. I am so excited to get our family and friends together in such a beautiful place, and celebrate the day I have been dreaming of since we began dating! The thing I am looking forward to the most for our wedding I think is getting to finally call the love of my life my wife. 

This was Kaelins version! The long and short version is we met in a singing camp when we were in 7th grade and we were reunited in College and have been hooked at the hip since! His proposal was an absolute surprise and I had NO clue he was proposing. It was so romantic and he got all of our family for an engagement party right after!
