Love Stories
Michaela + Easton
We first met in the most unlikely of places to find love, a very fratty, college house party! I don't like to come to hosted events empty handed, so I had arrived with drinks to share. I stepped inside and started looking around for my friends, and Easton was standing in the foyer, he asked if all the drinks were for me! I explained that they were intended for sharing, and my favorite way to meet people at large parties. He later said I was the first person he’d ever seen bring something for everyone, and I remember thinking he must have been keeping the wrong company.
A bit more than a year and a half later, we actually eloped!! In the woods of Virginia with just our parents by our side. Beneath the trees, we exchanged vows, cried, laughed, and promised each other forever. Afterwards, the six of us shared dinner at a little family-run Italian restaurant. It was simple, intimate, and easily the best and most beautiful day of my life.

Of course, we dreamed of a celebration with all our loved ones, a wedding with music and dancing, a beautiful dress and cake, and the joy of bringing everyone together. We didn’t want to wait to be married until we could plan such a party, so we eloped first and saved the celebration for later. Now, two summers later, we are overjoyed to finally gather with family and friends in such a stunningly beautiful place. The mountains mean so much to us, we each grew up in different mountain ranges, and they feel like home. To be surrounded by their beauty as we celebrate everlasting love with all of our dearest loved ones, feels truly special.
