Love Stories

Morgan+ John

John and I met in high school back in 2018, and from the very beginning, our story has always included a lot of laughter, a little bit of distance, and plenty of friends along for the ride. The first time we actually spoke was at the divisional track meet in Glendive—with what felt like all of our friends watching and waiting to see what would happen.

Not long after, we started dating and spent more than a year doing long distance between Laurel and Livingston. Eventually, John moved to Billings to attend RMC, and I followed shortly after. For the first time, we got to experience college and all the changes that came with growing up together.

As the years went by, we never felt in a rush to get engaged. We knew we wanted to be together, even if we weren’t always sure exactly where school, careers, or life would take us. After so many years of growing alongside one another, the proposal couldn’t have felt more us. Just the two of us in Hawaii, at about 8:00 in the morning thanks to a serious case of jet lag, John asked me to marry him. No crowd of friends watching this time—just us.

Now, nine years after that first conversation at a track meet, we’re getting married! We’ve gone from high school, to long distance, to college, to building a life together, and we can’t wait to see where the next chapter takes us.

We absolutely cannot wait to finally celebrate with not only all our friends and families but at a setting that feels so special!
